Lately, I've been spending my time, arranging all the photos in my cam memory card. After some messy folding, finally i can resume my posting for trip to spain as ashley hunger for the photos d :) it is due to my harsh decision not to send them, as the file is way too big.

I'm not much a hippie, but it feels like sugar in this place. LOL?

LOL (girls: let the photo do the talking?) perhaps, but not really.

Trip to Spain (1st day, Valencia)

Valencia is the capital of the autonomous community of Valencia and its province.

It is the third largest city in Spain. Well, The city contains a dense monumental heritage including the Lonja de la Seda [erm...World Heritage Site since 1996], but its landmark is undoubtedly the City of Arts and Sciences an avant-garde and futuristic museum complex, that is why I AM HERE!

Arriving at Valencia around 8am in the moring, i got myself a deep breathe. I flashed out my camera (My S5...lol.) and i'm ready to go for a tour around the city. With the aid of Daniel, we managed to set into cabs and proceed to the most famous place in Valencia (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias).

The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (Spanish)
or City of Arts and Sciences

is an ensemble of five areas in the dry riverbed of the now-diverted River Turia in Spain. This freakin awsome building is designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava in collaboration with Félix Candela (well, i dunno who is this guy really..), and started in July 1996, it is an impressive example of contemporary architecture.

All right, i'll name each section of City of Arts and Sciences by parts:

This part is El Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía
(A flamboyant opera and music palace with four halls)

This part is L'Hemisfèric (Imax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium )

(i tell you what, i got all these photo by morning, that would be awesome if i can capture these buildings in the evening due to the night time and interior lighting, that's SICK!)

This is going no where, the other buildings near the site. (one thing, see the floor, so clean)

The photo of commercial building, i like the design, the windows are designed at an angle, and it gives sufficient sunlight into the building(office perhaps).

This part is L'Umbracle
(Walkway / Garden )

Another side of it.

Another angle for L'Hemisfèric
(Surrounded by attractive streams and pools of water, it and the surrounding areas of the "city" are typically used as a relaxing place to walk day or night)

The L'Hemisfèric is actually next to the El Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía

This is another angle for L'Umbracle

Going back...and i saw Carrefour. (I took this photo, so i display it ok? btw, the road in Valencia is apparently broader but malaysia, tell me which msian is willing to stop behind the white line...tell me! lolololololol)

My hotel room!...nice interior and lovely bed.

Plasma opposite my bed, what's the worst that i can say? lol.

(Special thanks to ARM LCC to cover all officer travel fees and accomodation)

Nice desk, enough for me to do my work.

I love the washroom, btw, that's not my underwear! lol

Next post up coming soon...
